I'm planning to upgrade my CPU from an i9-13900K to a new i9-14900K. Since it's basically the same architecture, do I really need to reinstall Windows, or can I just swap the CPUs and be good to go? I'll make sure to flash the BIOS if needed, but I'm curious about the OS reinstalls since I've done that a lot when switching between Intel and AMD in the past.

Totally agree with others, no need for a reinstall. Just do the BIOS flash and you're set!
No, you don’t need to reinstall Windows for a CPU swap like that! Just make sure to update your BIOS to the latest version to avoid any potential issues down the line.
You really don’t have to reinstall Windows when switching from Intel to Intel. I mean, I even moved a Windows 11 SSD from my old 12900K to a Xeon E5 and it booted up without a hitch!
