Hey everyone! I just built a new PC with a 9950X and have installed Windows 11 24H2. I'm planning to upgrade to the 9950X3D soon, and I'm wondering if I need to do a fresh Windows reinstall for everything to work smoothly, especially with the Windows Scheduler. Should I also take the time to reinstall the chipset drivers, or is there anything else I need to keep in mind? Thanks for your help!

You don't have to reinstall Windows with the new processor, but it’s a good idea to update your chipset drivers afterward. Just check your motherboard’s manufacturer website for the latest versions and install them.
A fresh Windows install isn’t required, but many users recommend it for optimal performance after a major upgrade. It’s a personal preference.
No need for a reinstall, but I’d still recommend keeping your drivers up to date just to avoid any compatibility issues.
