Do I need to remove my air cooler before shipping my desktop?

I'm planning to sell my desktop soon since I want to get a laptop for college, and I've got a pretty big air cooler, the NH-D15. I'm wondering if I should take it off and pack it separately when I ship the desktop, or is it okay to leave it installed? Would putting some foam around it for extra security be a good idea? I know people usually do that for large graphics cards, but what about these big coolers?

It's generally a good idea to remove large components like your air cooler before shipping. This way, you avoid any potential damage during transit. If you can pack it separately with some padding, that would help a lot. Just make sure to secure the cooler well if you decide to leave it on; cutting foam to hold it in place is a smart move!

Honestly, it depends on how confident you are in the shipping process. Leaving it installed could work if you package it well, but removing it would give you peace of mind. Either way, using foam or bubble wrap around it is a must.
