Do I really need the SF1000 power supply for my PC build?

I'm giving my PC build one last check and I'm trying to decide if the SF850 power supply is enough or if I should be looking at the SF1000. I'd prefer not to upgrade unless absolutely necessary, but I'd like some insights from others. I know the part-picker suggests I'm good with the SF850, but should I also think about having some extra power headroom? Here's my build for reference: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qTMZ4p]. Thanks for your help!

The SF850 should be more than enough for your setup. You shouldn't run into any issues with that power supply.

While some might argue for getting a more powerful PSU like the SF1000 for extra headroom or future upgrades, I think the SF850 will handle your build perfectly fine. Just keep in mind that if you plan to upgrade components later, a bit more wattage could be useful.

Thanks for that insight! Could you give me examples of situations where having more headroom is beneficial?
