I'm looking at two different RAM models for my new AMD 9800X3D build and I'm wondering if there's a real difference between them. One is a T-Force model, which is cheaper but I can't find any information about whether it supports EXPO. The other is a Corsair Vengeance model at 6000MHz CL30, which I know supports EXPO. Will both of these RAM options perform similarly, or is there a significant advantage to going with the Corsair?

Just a heads up, EXPO is AMD's equivalent of Intel's XMP, and it's meant to enhance compatibility and overclocking through the BIOS. If you’re using an AMD CPU, it's definitely better to have RAM that supports EXPO. Since the T-Force model doesn't mention EXPO, you might miss out on those extra optimizations with it.
Both RAM models should work fine with your AMD system and EXPO enabled. I personally went with the Corsair 6000MHz CL36 model and had no issues getting EXPO to work. Performance-wise, there shouldn't be a noticeable difference between the two. You're probably safe with either option if price is a concern!
Yeah, Corsair tends to be the safer choice overall, but the T-Force looks really nice too!

Got it! So if the T-Force doesn't support EXPO, then I'd better stick with the Corsair for my AMD build.
