I'm looking into document management systems and noticed that AWS WorkDocs reached its end of life and is no longer supported. Is there any alternative DMS solution provided by AWS, or has WorkDocs been rebranded into something else?

Nope, WorkDocs was seen as a flawed service and didn't gain much traction, basically being a less user-friendly option compared to OneDrive or Dropbox. It's no surprise it was deprecated.

You might want to explore Alfresco available on the AWS Marketplace. It could be a good alternative if you're looking for something robust.

Thanks for this. I used Alfresco a few years ago.

While AWS doesn't have a fully managed document management system, you can definitely create your own solution. There's an interesting blog post about how Liberty Mutual built a scalable and cost-effective DMS using various AWS services. You might want to check it out!
