Does my new PC build have any issues or overkill components?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade from my nearly 10-year-old PC, which I've used for just about everything. I want to build something that will last me at least 5 years without needing many upgrades. I have a budget and I'm willing to spend, but I'd like to avoid wasting money on unnecessary parts.

Here's what I'm planning for my new build:

- Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080
- Corsair 4000D Airflow case
- Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi7 motherboard (wifi optional)
- Corsair Vengeance 6000MHz DDR5 RAM (2x16GB)
- 2TB Samsung EVO SSD (I'll add extra storage from my current PC)
- Windows 11 Home
- Corsair RM1000x power supply (it's rated at about 601W; is 750W really worth it?)
- Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE cooler (do I need to buy thermal paste too?)

I have a few specific questions:
1. Will all these parts work well together? My research indicates they should, but I'd love a second opinion.
2. Is there anything I absolutely need to include that I'm missing? Assume I need everything!
3. Do you think I've future-proofed my build enough to last at least 5 years?
4. Are there any components here that are unnecessarily high-end or possibly limited by others?

Thanks a lot for your help! This is my first build, so I appreciate any advice.

From what I see, your build looks solid! It might be good to know what kind of monitor you're using, though. It has the potential to be a great 4K 144Hz rig or a 1440p 240Hz setup, depending on that.

I'll be using a 2.5K 144Hz monitor and I'm thinking of getting another one, maybe 2.5K or 4K.
