Experiencing Low FPS with My Ryzen 7 7800X3D Build

Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well. I've been struggling with a frustrating issue involving low FPS and stuttering in my gaming setup. Here are the specs:

- **CPU:** Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- **GPU:** RTX 5060 Ti 16GB (with triple fans)
- **Motherboard:** Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX
- **Cooler:** Hiditec LQ360mm
- **Power Supply:** Corsair RMX 850W
- **RAM:** 32GB Corsair Vengeance 6000MHz CL36

I recently upgraded from an RTX 4060 to handle my gaming better, especially since I was having FPS issues in story mode games with just 8GB of VRAM. I also had to replace my motherboard due to some bent pins.

After these upgrades, I've noticed a significant drop in performance. I play Fortnite at a competitive level, and where I used to consistently hit 360 FPS (my monitor's refresh rate), now I'm struggling to maintain even 360 FPS, dropping down to around 160 FPS at times. This isn't just in Fortnite, but across all my games.

Running some tests, I found that my Cinebench CPU score has decreased quite a bit. I tried tweaking the Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) settings and adjusted the PPT, EDC, and TDC limits, which helped me regain some of my previous scores with the MSI motherboard, but my FPS still hasn't bounced back.

I've reinstalled Windows multiple times, cleaned the GPU drivers, and enabled Global C-States, but nothing has worked. The Event Viewer shows several errors, one of which is Kernel Event Tracing—I'm not sure if that's relevant.

Additionally, while gaming, I've noticed that my CPU is only drawing about 60W of power, and the GPU usage is low too, both hovering around 30%. My CPU frequency stays between 4.8GHz and 5GHz during gameplay. Any insights on what might be going wrong?

Are you playing at 1080p with low settings? Lower resolutions and settings can sometimes help with FPS issues, especially if the GPU is underutilized. If it helps your FPS, maybe you can tweak the balance to see if that improves your performance.

Yes, I’m on 1080p with low settings. However, I expected better performance even at those settings!

First off, make sure to monitor your temperatures. If your CPU is hitting around 60 degrees Celsius while gaming and your GPU is at 45, they seem fine, but it's good to keep an eye on them. Sometimes overheating can cause throttling, which impacts performance.

Yeah, my CPU stays around 60 degrees too, and I haven’t had any issues with overheating during gameplay.
