I've got a user who is facing some serious delays with Microsoft Teams. They're having issues like their status being stuck on 'away' and having around a 5-minute delay in receiving chat messages. Even after reinstalling Teams and clearing the cache, the problem persists. They've tried resetting their status, signed out and back in, and even checked the web version, where the issues continue—refreshing the page helps a little, but it's still a big hassle. This person is also unable to make calls since those too seem delayed and don't ring at all. Has anyone else experienced something similar? What could be going wrong?

I had no luck with similar behavior on a Dell after upgrading to Windows 11. In the end, re-imaging the PC entirely fixed the problem for me.
What's the version of Teams they are using? It might help narrow down the problem. Sometimes upgrading or reinstalling with the latest version can resolve these quirks.
Have they tried using Teams on their mobile device? Also, it might help to run the 'sfc /scannow' command to check for any file integrity issues.
I suggested the sfc command too! Did you mention that sometimes just checking for other logged-in sessions could help from the M365 admin panel?
He mentioned that Teams on his phone isn't experiencing any delay, so it might be a backend issue.
Is this issue happening across all devices, or just on the PC? I've heard of some cases where delays happen only on certain setups.
He says there’s no delay on his phone, which is odd because the web app is still lagging.
Check to see if there are any other sessions of Teams running on different devices for that user. Sometimes having multiple sessions can cause issues like this.

The version is 25163.3611.3774.6315. I've tried almost everything except resetting the entire PC. Do you think removing and re-adding devices from Entra ID might help?
