Experiencing Major FPS Drops After Motherboard Upgrade, Need Help!

Hey everyone! I've run into a frustrating issue with my PC after upgrading my motherboard about a week ago, and I'm hoping someone can help me out. Here's what I'm working with: a Ryzen 7 7800x3D CPU, a 4070 Super GPU, 32 GB of DDR5 RAM at 6000 MHz (using EXPO 1), a B650e Elite X-AX White Motherboard, and a Gigabyte 750W 80+ Gold Power Supply. Since the upgrade, I've been having serious FPS drops and micro-stuttering in games like Call of Duty, especially when I'm on a killstreak or during explosions. I go from around 250-260 FPS all the way down to 40-45 FPS, then it usually jumps back up after a few seconds. I also tried playing BF6, and while it was playable, it wasn't smooth at all. On my old motherboard (the B650 Eagle), everything was running perfectly with a steady 250 FPS. I've done everything I can think of: I reinstalled Windows, updated all my drivers, and ran diagnostics that say everything's normal. I'm really at a loss here and could use some ideas. Thank you!

Have you checked for a BIOS update? It's super crucial on AMD setups, especially after upgrading the motherboard. You might want to update to the latest version if you haven’t done so yet. Sometimes, new BIOS versions contain fixes that enhance performance.

Thanks for the quick tip! I'm currently on BIOS version F39 and tried F40 but rolled back since it just came out two weeks ago. Should I consider going to F40 again?
