I've recently upgraded my CPU from an R3 2200G to an R7 5700X and switched to Windows 11. However, I started experiencing crashes right after the change, which I suspect may be linked to one of my RAM sticks dying during the upgrade. Currently, I'm running with only 8GB of RAM and while the crashes have stopped, I've noticed some annoying micro-stutters when I run my torrent client. My CPU usage is around 20-25%, RAM is above 80%, but I can't recall the SSD usage. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

It sounds like your low RAM could be the culprit causing those stutters. With only 8GB, Windows has to constantly manage memory, which can lead to delays as it retrieves data. That back-and-forth can definitely cause that kind of lag you're seeing when you're running demanding applications, like a torrent client. You should consider adding more RAM if you can!
Have you checked if your BIOS is updated? Upgrading from a 2000 series to a 5000 series CPU is a significant leap and sometimes requires a BIOS update for compatibility. If you haven’t done that, it might be worth checking out.
Yeah, I made sure to update to the latest firmware that isn’t a beta. Thanks for the reminder!
Honestly, AMD platforms can sometimes be a mixed bag for stability. You might save some money upfront but then run into these kinds of issues later on. Just something to keep in mind if you consider future upgrades.

What if I increase the paging file size? Would that help out with the stuttering?
