I've got a Samsung 2TB SSD that I've been using for about three years and it's been formatted a couple of times. Lately, I've been running into I/O errors whenever I try to write anything to it. I've tried using Chkdsk, but that didn't work. The good news is I can still watch all the files stored on it without any issues. I'm planning to download CrystalDiskInfo later to check its status, but I thought it might be helpful to get some advice first instead of just surfing through Google.

You might want to check out Samsung's SSD Magician software. It runs both short and long SMART tests as well as block tests to see if your SSD has any issues. Also, make sure to look for any firmware updates that might be available for your drive.
