I recently got an express replacement for my iPad Pro. I received the new iPad yesterday, and I noticed that I was refunded the temporary charge I had to pay in advance while still having my old iPad at home. Is this typical? Shouldn't they wait for me to return my old iPad before processing the refund? Also, what would happen if I didn't send back my old device?

You won't be getting a free iPad, just a heads up!
What you see is a pending authorization, not a final charge. This hold can disappear after a few days depending on your bank, but they can charge you within 30 days. Definitely send back your old iPad to avoid any charges!
Appreciate it!
They usually bill your card eventually, so just because the temp charge disappeared doesn't mean you're in the clear. If you don't return your old iPad, you might get charged the full price for the replacement. It's risky to skip sending it back!
Perfect thanks

Sad haha
