Hey everyone! I'm looking for some feedback on my planned PC build, which is around $2,300 and aimed at 1440p gaming. Here's what I have so far:

- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core
- **Motherboard**: Gigabyte B650E AORUS ELITE X AX ICE ATX AM5
- **RAM**: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30
- **Graphics Card**: Gigabyte WINDFORCE SFF GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB
- **Power Supply**: Corsair RM1000x (2024) 1000 W Fully Modular
- **Case**: Lian Li LANCOOL III RGB ATX Mid Tower
- **Primary SSD**: Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2 TB M.2 PCIe 5.0
- **Secondary SSD**: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2 PCIe 3.0
- **CPU Cooler**: MSI MAG CORELIQUID A15 64.89 CFM

I designed this build with future upgrades in mind over the next three years, aiming for components that support potential enhancements like a stronger CPU and GPU. For example, I'm considering a powerful AM5 CPU later on, as well as Bluetooth support for my peripherals.

I know I might be over spending on certain parts, like the motherboard and cooler, but I wanted to see if anyone has suggestions for adjusting these choices without compromising on quality. Thanks for your help!

If you're okay with slightly slower RAM, Microcenter has a great bundle for the Ryzen 7 7800X3D that includes a motherboard and 32 GB DDR5 for just $500.

Thanks for pointing that out, I’ll check into that!

You might want to look for areas to save some cash. For instance, check out this alternative part list I created:

- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D $359.50
- **CPU Cooler**: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 140 for $43.29
- **Motherboard**: Consider the Gigabyte B850 EAGLE which is cheaper at $149.99
- **RAM**: Silicon Power 32 GB DDR5 for $82.97
- **Storage**: Crucial T500 2 TB SSD at $124.99
- **GPU**: ASRock Radeon RX 9070 XT for $712.98
- **Case**: Lian Li LANCOOL 216 for $111.99
- **PSU**: Cooler Master MWE Gold 850 W for $89.99

**Total**: $1,675.70 - this saves you quite a bit!

Thanks for sharing! I'll look into swapping out some parts.

Definitely go for a B850 motherboard. PCIe 5.0 SSDs are hard to justify unless you need them for specific productivity tasks. A good air cooler might also be a better choice for your CPU.

Good to know! I’ll look into the differences between B650 and B850!

Your build looks solid, but I think you're overpaying for the motherboard. Maybe consider a non-AIO cooler instead, it could save you some money without losing performance.

That makes sense, I was just trying to future-proof with a good mobo. I'll consider the B850. Also, for the cooler, would going with a traditional fan/air cooler be sufficient?

Your build looks good, but can you check the link for the alternative parts again? I’d love to see what you suggested.

Sure thing, let me grab that link for you!
