Feedback on My PC Build: AMD Ryzen 9 9800x3d and RTX 5090

I'm putting together a new PC build and could use some advice! Here's what I have planned:

- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 9 9800x3d. I do a lot of video editing, mostly 4K workloads. I'm upgrading from an i5-9600k and I'm hoping the 9800x3d will give me better performance, especially since it benchmarks well for 4K gaming. Am I on the right track?
- **GPU**: GIGABYTE Gaming GeForce RTX 5090 with 32GB GDDR7. I got this as part of a bundle from Newegg and plan to sell the motherboard that came with it.
- **MOBO**: ASRock X870E Taichi (AM5, E-ATX). I've seen a lot of mixed reviews about this motherboard—some love it, while others are having issues. I'm particularly interested in the audio quality, as I'm sensitive to sound and want the best experience. But if it's a gamble in terms of stability, I might reconsider.
- **RAM**: G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series DDR5 64GB (2x32GB) at 6000MT/s CL30. I opted for this to ensure stability, though I did think about going for 6400MT/s CL32.
- **Storage**: The main storage is a Crucial T705 2TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe M.2 SSD, with a secondary SAMSUNG 990 PRO 4TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD.
- **PSU**: CORSAIR RM1000x SHIFT 80 PLUS Gold.
- **Cooling**: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro 360.
- **Case**: I'm trying to choose between the HYTE Y70 and Fractal Design North XL Full Tower Case. Any thoughts on that? Is it mostly a matter of aesthetics?

Your build looks solid overall! Just a heads-up, the ASRock motherboard has had some issues with the 9000 series CPUs. Many users reported failures, so if audio quality is a priority, consider grabbing an external amp/dac like the Topping DX3 Pro+. It's a game changer for sound quality!

Yeah, I agree. That’s definitely a concern. It's a bummer because ASRock usually has a good reputation.

I hear you on the motherboard. If you're really about audio, maybe steer clear of ASRock for this gen. You could miss out on the details that make a difference. You said you care about your audio—an external solution might serve you better!

That's what I'm thinking too. Just worried about the stability aspect. Bummer!

Regarding cases, the Fractal North XL is excellent if aesthetics matter to you—it’s really well-made! Just a heads-up, if you’re in the US, the HYTE Y70 might be hard to find. The Fractal case is great for airflow too!

I saw it's available on Amazon, even if not with Prime. Both cases look amazing—so hard to pick just one!
