Hey everyone, I recently upgraded from an RTX 2060 6GB to an MSI GeForce RTX 3060 12GB, but it feels like I'm not getting any real benefits from the new graphics card. In fact, I'm facing more issues than before. For example, Red Dead Redemption 2 seems to be running worse than before, with similar graphics quality. I'm experiencing audio delays and crackling sounds, and when I try to run MSAA, it doesn't work well at all—sometimes TAA even feels laggy. I'm looking for some help to figure out what might be going wrong. Has anyone else faced a similar situation?

Haha, your story reminds me of when I thought boosting my RAM from 4MB to 8MB would revolutionize my gaming experience in the 90s. Sometimes an upgrade doesn't feel like an upgrade at all—more like a sidegrade!
Sounds like you might be experiencing a driver issue. Have you completely uninstalled the old drivers before installing the new ones? I recommend using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to clean everything out before installing the new drivers. Just follow some online guides to do it correctly, and it should help fix your problems!
Honestly, the upgrade from a 2060 to a 3060 isn't a huge leap in performance—it's only about 10-15% faster. The extra VRAM is nice, but if you're gaming at 1080p, you might not even notice much of a difference. That could be why you're feeling underwhelmed with your new card.
First off, what CPU are you using with the RTX 3060? Make sure it's not bottlenecking your performance. Also, check that your monitor is connected directly to the GPU and that it's seated properly in the PCI slot. Don't forget to connect all the necessary power cables to the GPU! That might help with the performance issues.
I'm using a Ryzen 5 7600x, and everything is plugged in correctly.
The only real benefit of moving to a 3060 is the additional VRAM, but if you weren't hitting VRAM limits with the 2060, you might not see much change. It really shows in games that need more VRAM or with mods in games that are memory-heavy—like Skyrim or Fallout. You might need to test a bit more to see the advantages.
I didn't do that. I'll look up DDU and give it a try!
