I've had my PC for a while now, and while I know it's older, I'm really hoping to get better performance. I've got a Ryzen 7 3700X paired with an RX 5700 and 32GB of DDR4 RAM running at 3600MHz. I'm usually seeing between 90 to 140 FPS on Rainbow Six, but it just doesn't feel smooth. I've checked out a bunch of videos on optimizing performance but haven't seen much change. I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for fixes, or if you think I should consider some budget upgrades that could give me a noticeable boost. I'm not sure if it's my CPU, GPU, or both that are bottlenecking my performance. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you're thinking about upgrading, consider something like the RX 9060 XT or the 5700X/5800X if your budget permits. Those could really help you get over that performance hurdle!
What GPU are you using? It's key to identify if that's the main problem. Could be a simple fix or a sign you might need an upgrade.
I have an RX 5700.

Are there any other good but affordable GPU options in the $200-300 range? That would be helpful!
