I'm in the process of finalizing my gaming PC build featuring an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor and a Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card. I'm weighing my motherboard options between the MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK and an ASUS TUF B850 series, with the Tomahawk currently being about €10 cheaper. Additionally, I'm unsure if an 80+ Gold power supply will be sufficient for this build or if I should aim for something platinum or titanium. My monitor is G-Sync compatible, so I'd like to confirm whether it will function properly with my AMD GPU. I'm also open to any other recommendations or comments you might have! Here's the part list for reference: [PCPartPicker Link].

I recently built a rig with similar specs, and I used the Define R5 case, which has worked great for me for years! Make sure you have good airflow; if you're only using three fans, you might want to add more for optimal cooling. Also, your monitor should work perfectly fine with FreeSync support. Just keep testing it with different games to see how it performs!
I think you should go with the ASUS TUF motherboard. It's generally more reliable. An 80+ Gold PSU should be enough for your setup, and yes, if your monitor is G-Sync compatible, it will also work with FreeSync on AMD cards without issues! Everything else in your build looks solid, and you shouldn't run into any major problems.
Regarding the power supply, an 80+ Gold should technically be fine. Just ensure it's a good quality brand. As for the motherboard, both are solid, but I’d suggest checking reviews for the specific boards to see user experiences; sometimes BIOS handling or customer support makes a big difference. And for the G-Sync compatibility: it sounds like it should work well with your setup. They're meant to be compatible, so don't sweat that too much!
Thanks for the input! I'm really leaning towards ASUS due to the BIOS reputation, but I'm also considering the potential issues users have had with 9800X3D on MSI boards.

A friend of mine also backs the ASUS. But you might want to consider MSI as the Tomahawk seems to have fewer reported issues, especially with the 9800X3D. What do you think?
