First iPad: Battery Care and Recommendations

I'm excited to be ordering my first iPad today! It's the iPad A16 in pink with 128GB. The last iPad I used was an old one from 2015, so I'm eager to dive into the new features. I've noticed a lot of battery concerns regarding phones and wondered if those apply to iPads too. What are some tips for charging and taking care of the battery to ensure longevity? I'm a bit anxious about it. Also, any cool apps or games I should check out? I heard some mixed opinions about the latest iOS version; how might that affect my experience as a new user?

Here's the deal: don’t let battery worries hold you back. Use your iPad however feels right! Avoid keeping it plugged in all day or letting it drain completely. And about iOS 26—it's not as bad as people are saying. Many opinions online are just hype. Enjoy and don't overthink it!

Great advice! The best thing you can do is just enjoy the device as it is without stressing. Balance your usage, and you’ll be fine!

Don't stress too much about the battery! The software is designed to manage it well, so you don't have to micromanage every charge. Just use your iPad normally. As for iOS, it's not awful, and you likely won't be able to revert back anyway. Just focus on enjoying your new pink device! Consider getting a third-party pencil too; they work nicely with these models.
