First PC Build Advice: Keeping It Around $1200

I'm looking for advice on building my first PC in about a decade and want to keep the budget around $1200. I prefer not to have a huge case—do you think the Fractal Design Pop Mini Air will make assembly difficult? Any additional suggestions for components would be great! Here's the current build I'm considering: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Xk8NTM](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Xk8NTM)

I’d switch the graphics card to a 5060 Ti 16GB instead of the 7700 XT—it's often about $100 cheaper now. Here's a good option: [link](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/B7CCmG/gigabyte-windforce-geforce-rtx-5060-ti-16-gb-pcie-x8-video-card-gv-n506twf2-16gd)

Great call! The performance is very close, but the 5060 outclasses the AMD cards in terms of features.

For slightly improved performance, check this setup: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jcF2fd](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jcF2fd)

Thanks for sharing that! I'll look into it.

You might want to consider adding a second hard drive. 1TB can fill up fast these days, and regular hard drives are pretty affordable.

I actually have an external one that I’m using for now, so I’m okay for the moment.

True, but I’d recommend steering clear of HDDs for anything other than NAS use at this point.
