Hey everyone! I'm embarking on my first PC build and I'm looking to upgrade to the AM5 platform. My budget is €1200, and I'm based in France. The main uses for this setup will be productivity tasks (dealing with large Excel files and managing multiple PDFs) and creating 3D animations in Blender, which I've recently gotten into. I've done some homework on budget builds for Blender using some open data benchmarks and I've crafted a parts list that fits within my budget.
Here's what I'm working with, but I could really use some advice:
1. Is the combo of Ryzen 7 7700X and RTX 5060 Ti a good fit within my budget? Should I consider spending an extra €60 for the Ryzen 9 7900X instead?
2. From my current PC, can I reuse these components:
- Case: MaxInPower BM1080CA00. I like the case, but how do I confirm that everything will fit?
- Power Supply: It comes with a 480W unit. Will that be enough for my new setup?
- Wi-Fi Card: TP-LINK Archer T5E.
- Storage: A 2TB HDD, but I was thinking of going with a 1TB SSD since storage isn't an issue for me.
3. I'm also really uncertain about the CPU cooler. I just picked an inexpensive one, but I'm getting a warning from PCPartPicker about RAM clearance with the cooler.
4. Is there anything else I should be considering or might be overlooking?

Everything seems pretty good, but keep in mind your Wi-Fi card is a bit dated. There’s a chance that it might not work well with your new motherboard and Windows 11, potentially causing some bluescreen issues. Also, your case limits your cooler options since it can only fit a 120mm cooler. If you have low airflow, a low-profile cooler could lead to overheating.
Your build looks solid overall! But I agree with the suggestion to upgrade the CPU cooler to something like the 120 variant. The 7700X has a TDP of 105W, and the mini cooler you picked may struggle with that heat. It’s also important to note that the B850M isn't the best choice; you’re better off going for a B650 motherboard that has a better track record and support for newer BIOS updates.
Thanks for the heads up on the Wi-Fi card! I’ll look into whether it’s worth upgrading. And yeah, I’ll make sure to check cooler options that fit better with my setup.
