I'm new to the world of PC building and I've never done it before. I recently asked ChatGPT for help in putting together a high-end gaming PC with a budget of around $2000. Here's the parts list I came up with:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D (~$360)
- GPU: RX 7900 XT ($650) or RTX 4070 Ti Super ($730 if I want DLSS/Frame Generation)
- Motherboard: MSI B650 Tomahawk WiFi (~$215)
- RAM: 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30 (~$120)
- SSD: WD Black SN850X 2TB (~$150)
- PSU: Corsair RM850e 850W Gold (~$140)
- Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE (~$50)
- Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow (~$100)
- Monitor: MSI 27" 1440p 180Hz (G272QPF E2) (~$220)
Can anyone suggest any changes or tell me if I've made any mistakes?

I just ordered my parts from Newegg. They have combo deals on motherboards and CPUs, like the 7800X3D, and sometimes offer free cooling solutions. Make sure to check for good seasonal sales!
Nothing stands out as a major issue, but since I'm not fully up-to-date on parts, I'd recommend using PcPartPicker. It'll help you find better deals and check compatibility, which you can't completely rely on when using AI. That said, it's a decent starting point!
Just a heads-up, the AI's knowledge might be outdated. Make sure you double-check parts compatibility!
Keep in mind that finding a new 4070 Ti can be tough right now. You might want to look into the 9070 XT as an alternative to the 7900 XT—it usually has better stock!
The exact build will really depend on what you want to use it for. Is it just for gaming, or do you have other needs?
This build is primarily for high-end gaming.
Overall a solid build, but some parts are getting a bit dated. Consider upgrading to an RTX 5070 Ti, and for better performance, think about a 4TB NVME SSD. Also, check out the Montech Century II 850W PSU and a different motherboard that supports WiFi 7 and USB-C.
Sounds good, but remember to keep the budget in mind!
That monitor recommendation sounds great but pricey. Will it be worth it compared to other options?
Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely check that out.
