First Time Building a PC: Need Advice on Components and Setup

Hey everyone! I just bought my first desktop PC and have some concerns I hope you can help with. I'm using a Ryzen 9800x3d, and I've seen some videos about it frying on certain motherboards, particularly ASRock models. I'm using an MSI RTX 5060ti 16GB along with a GIGABYTE B850M GAMING X WIFI6E motherboard. Should I update the BIOS to version F4 before I start? Also, are there known issues with the Gigabyte board and this CPU?

I'm also curious about transferring my M.2 SSD from my laptop to this new desktop. Is it possible to just initialize it in Windows without losing any data? I really don't want to start downloading everything again!

I've always used laptops, and I'm looking forward to better performance for gaming since my Asus Tuf A15 with an RTX 3050 barely keeps up with the latest games. I'm not planning on overclocking or anything fancy, just some casual gaming after work. Thanks in advance for your advice!

1. Definitely update the BIOS as soon as you can to avoid potential issues, especially with the Ryzen 9800x3d.
2. As for your GPU, I think it’s fine for now, but if you can, consider upgrading to a 5070 ti or 5080 eventually. 3. The components you've chosen should work well together. Don't stress too much!

I appreciate the advice! The GPU is the best I can swing right now, but I'll keep an eye out for upgrades in the future.
