First Time Buying a Gaming PC – Need Advice!

Hey everyone! I'm diving into the world of PC gaming for the first time, transitioning from my PS4, and I could really use some guidance. I'm a female gamer with a budget of $2,000 or less, and I'm not very familiar with the hardware side of things. I'm considering building my own PC but I'm also curious if a pre-built one would be a better option for me. I enjoy games like Sims 4, Roblox, Minecraft, Valorant, Apex Legends, Red Dead Redemption 2, Until Dawn, The Last of Us, and Dead by Daylight. Any tips on what components I need or whether I should go the pre-built route would be super helpful!

Given the current market, going with a pre-built PC might be your best bet for getting good value. Prices for some components, especially RAM, have skyrocketed due to high demand in other industries, so you're likely to find better deals with pre-builds right now.

That sounds rough. Any idea when prices might drop? I'm planning to get my PC for my birthday in just under three months, but I could start looking earlier!
