Hey everyone! My mouse suddenly stopped working properly after some testing. I've figured out that one of the little lights inside is super dim, which might be the issue. I can still click and scroll, but that dim light is annoying. A friend suggested that I could potentially replace it with a brighter one. I'm thinking of trying a capacitor to boost the brightness, but I'd love to hear anyone else's thoughts or suggestions before I dive in. Thanks!

Update: Things didn’t go as planned, and I almost had a disaster while trying to fix it. Seriously, don’t attempt this without being really careful!
I understand the attachment to that mouse. It's tough to let go of something that has sentimental value, especially if it was one of the last gifts from a loved one. Good luck with the repair!
You might want to consider replacing the dim LED with a 5mm red LED. They're pretty affordable and if you have other broken electronics, you could salvage one. Just be careful with polarity; if you solder it the wrong way, it won't work!
Whoa, what happened?! Sounds intense!
