Hey everyone, I'm experiencing this frustrating issue with CS2. I have a Ryzen 9800X3D, a 9070 Ti, 32 GB of RAM, and I'm using a 360 Hz Samsung OLED monitor. Last week, I noticed that after playing just one or two matches, my FPS would drop dramatically from around 500 to below 200. It's such a drastic drop that it feels more like 15 FPS. I've checked Task Manager and AMD monitoring tools, and everything seems normal: the GPU usage is around 80%, the CPU is only 20-30%, and my RAM usage is steady at about 14 GB. My network connection is also stable at 30 ping with no packet loss. The weird part is the FPS drop happens in cycles — it stays low for about five rounds then flickers back to normal for one round before dipping down again. I've tried everything suggested online, from reinstalling CS2 and updating Windows to toggling game modes and FreeSync. Other games like Valorant run perfectly fine, hitting 600 FPS without any issues. I'm at my wit's end here; I want to enjoy CS2 but can hardly play with this performance.

Are you sure you meant 9070 Ti? If it's only happening with CS2, it could be related specifically to that game. Have you tried capping your FPS at 400 or at your monitor's refresh rate? Also, consider rebuilding the shader cache for CS2 and disabling Fullscreen Optimizations for the application. Make sure your motherboard's BIOS is updated too, along with your chipset and GPU drivers.
It sounds like the max latency could be spiking randomly. If that’s the case, you might want to look into that as it could be impacting your FPS. Anyone know how to diagnose or fix max latency issues?
You might want to check your temperatures using HWinfo. Overheating could be causing those jumps in performance. What are your GPU and CPU temps looking like?
I checked in Radeon Software, and GPU temps are around 45-55°C while CPU is at about 55-60°C. They seem pretty normal to me.

Thanks for all the tips! I've already done the driver updates, and I remember flashing my motherboard when I set it up. Is there a way to double-check if the BIOS is up to date?
