I recently had my iPad Mini 5th generation replaced due to battery issues. Unfortunately, the technician deleted everything on my old iPad before giving me the new one, and I wanted to set it up right there in the shop. But my mom hurried me out, and later, while trying to set it up in the food court, I realized I couldn't remember my iCloud password. I attempted to reset it but was stuck due to Apple's new 24-hour security policy—I had no idea! Now, I have to wait three days before I can reset my password! I've been checking my email for any confirmation, but I haven't received anything despite getting other emails from Apple. I'm really anxious about not having my iPad set up before my test on Thursday. Has anyone experienced this before and can offer some advice? I feel lost and stressed out about it.

Sounds like you're in the account recovery process. Even if you don’t get an email confirmation, you can check your recovery status and reset the password after those three days with iforgot.apple.com. Just hang tight!

Okay...so don’t do anything for three days and then it should work, right?
