Hey everyone! I just got my first Apple product and was really looking forward to setting it up. However, the initial setup turned out to be a nightmare. When I got to the account login or creation step, the option to make a new Apple ID was stuck on a loading screen and wouldn't progress. I tried creating an account online, but none of the two-factor authentication methods worked, including SMS verification. I then skipped the account setup and attempted to create an Apple ID through the Settings app, but now it says I can't create any more accounts. I can't even access the partial account I created. I'm left with a half-configured device and have to wait until a business day to contact Apple Support. This is just so frustrating for a first-time Apple user!

Sounds like a real hassle! If you think it's a used device and it hasn't been fully reset, that could be causing the problem with account creation. Make sure to explain everything when you talk to Apple Support; they should be able to help you clear things up. Good luck!
This isn't a normal experience at all! If you bought the device used, it might have previous accounts linked to it. Definitely give Apple Support a call; they're usually pretty helpful with account issues like this. Sorry you're having such a rough start!
Wow, that sounds really frustrating! What type of Apple device did you get? If it's a Mac, it could complicate things a bit. You might need to reach out to Apple Support to sort this out, especially if it says you can't create any more accounts. Hang in there!

It's a Macbook Pro M4. Looks like I’ll just have to wait until tomorrow to contact support.
