Hey everyone! So, I'm having a tough time after updating my Fedora KDE Plasma machine to version 43. All my Steam games are refusing to start. I've checked the integrity of some games, tried various Proton versions (9, 10, and experimental), and even updated my graphics driver. I even attempted to run the games with the previous Fedora version via GRUB, but no luck. I'm fairly new to Linux and was wondering if I should just wait for the next Fedora update to see if it fixes this issue. Here are my specs: i5 13700KF, RTX 3080, 64GB RAM. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I had a similar problem right after the update. I noticed an NVIDIA driver error flashed on the screen during boot, but I couldn't catch what it was. It might be a driver issue, so I recommend uninstalling and then reinstalling the NVIDIA drivers. I ended up doing a fresh install of Fedora 43, and that fixed things for me, but then I had a few new problems to tackle!
That’s a good strategy! I usually film my screen with my phone to catch those pesky error messages.
I faced the same issue today and managed to fix it by downgrading the Mesa packages. You can do this using the command: `dnf downgrade mesa*`. It worked for me, and I hope it helps you too!

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely try reinstalling the NVIDIA drivers first.
