Hey everyone! I recently purchased the B850 Tomahawk Max WiFi motherboard, but I only got around to testing it a couple of weeks after buying. It's supposed to have a 5G LAN port, but I can only seem to get speeds up to 2.5 Gbps full duplex. Is there something I'm missing, or is this just how it works? If it's not capable of true 5G speeds, could anyone suggest a motherboard that performs similarly but does support genuine 5G Ethernet? Thanks! Oh, and I managed to solve my issue by updating the Realtek driver, as the one Windows installed was outdated from 2015.

It sounds like the motherboard automatically negotiates the best speed based on what the connected equipment can handle. Have you checked if your cables and the switch are actually capable of 5G? That's often where the bottleneck is.
Are you looking for the 5G option in the correct place? Make sure your cables and setup can support those speeds to begin with.

Yes, I have 8Gb internet and a 10Gb router.
