Got a strange email about my Apple account – is it legit?

It sounds like someone may have created an Apple account using that other email address of yours. If the email addresses don’t match, it’s likely unrelated to your actual Apple ID. Even though the sender is verified, it's still best to be cautious. I’d suggest trying to log into that other account through a browser to see what’s up and possibly close it out if it's not yours.

Yep, the same thing happened to me! The email was sent to my email that I don't use for my Apple ID either. I found other threads where people are mentioning similar situations, so it might be a bigger issue on Apple’s end or a bug.

I received it today as well. It’s my email, but definitely not the one linked to my account. I’m confused as well!
