I received an email today saying, "Your Apple account request has been approved, and you can now sign in to access your account (email)." It came from [email protected], and there's a blue check mark indicating they own the email. However, the email they sent this to is different from the one I use for my Apple account. Should I be concerned that this could be a scam?

It sounds like someone may have created an Apple account using that other email address of yours. If the email addresses don’t match, it’s likely unrelated to your actual Apple ID. Even though the sender is verified, it's still best to be cautious. I’d suggest trying to log into that other account through a browser to see what’s up and possibly close it out if it's not yours.
I just got one too! Super confusing for me as well.
I got a similar email, but mine said the request was denied. I'm just as lost as you are!
I received one today too. Does anyone know what's going on with these emails?
Yep, the same thing happened to me! The email was sent to my email that I don't use for my Apple ID either. I found other threads where people are mentioning similar situations, so it might be a bigger issue on Apple’s end or a bug.
I received it today as well. It’s my email, but definitely not the one linked to my account. I’m confused as well!
