Hey everyone! I'm planning to build a new PC since my current one is over 10 years old and struggling to keep up. I'm not super savvy about PC components, so I've done some research and talked to friends for suggestions. I primarily use my computer for gaming, watching movies, and streaming on Twitch, but I've never played any really demanding games since my current graphics card (Nvidia 1070) isn't up to the task anymore. One of my main priorities is to have a solid graphics card that will last a long time. While I don't have a ton of money, I'm trying to build a good setup around my graphics card. Here's my proposed build—please let me know if there's anything glaringly wrong or if all the components will work together!
- **Processor**: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- **CPU Cooler**: Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360
- **Motherboard**: Gigabyte B850 EAGLE WIFI6E
- **RAM**: G.Skill Flare X5 Series Low Profile 32 Go (2x 16 Go) DDR5 6000 MHz CL30
- **Graphics Card**: MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16G INSPIRE 3X OC
- **SSD**: Samsung SSD 990 PRO M.2 PCIe NVMe 2 To
- **HDD**: Seagate BarraCuda 2 To (ST2000DM008)
- **PC Case**: Fractal Design North XL Charcoal Black
- **Power Supply**: be quiet! Power Zone 2 850W 80PLUS Platinum
- **Monitor**: ASUS 27" LED - VG27AQ3A
Thanks in advance for your feedback!

I gotta say, for someone on a budget, you’ve put together quite the lineup here! But, if you're trying to save some money, consider swapping out the cooler and the case for something less pricey. The cooler you picked is a bit overkill, and you could easily save hundreds without sacrificing performance. Plus, if you’re playing games that don’t demand it, you might find a more affordable CPU like the Ryzen 7600 (or similar) would do just fine. Also, I wouldn't bother with a hard drive nowadays—NVME drives are cheap and way faster!
Your build looks solid overall! But have you considered whether you really need the XL version of the North case? The standard North case should fit all your components just fine, so you might want to reconsider that if you're looking to save some space and cash.
I chose the XL because I was worried about fitting everything in! But if you think the standard version will work, I'll definitely take another look!

Thanks for the tips! I know my build is a bit pricey; I meant that I could spend a bit more but didn't want to go all out. I'm considering switching to a more affordable cooler! Regarding the HDD, would 500GB or 1TB SSD be enough for my heavy games?
