I'm considering an upgrade and need some advice. I found a PNY RTX 5080 OC on Amazon at a decent price, and I'm trying to decide whether to upgrade my GPU from an RTX 3080 to the 5080 or switch my CPU from an i9 10850K running at 5GHz to the 9800X3D. Unfortunately, I can't afford to do both at the same time. I game at 1440p on a 165Hz monitor, and I'm aiming for over 165 fps. Do you think my i9 would bottleneck the RTX 5080? Also, my current 3080 is the 10GB version, if that makes a difference.

I'd recommend upgrading the CPU. I made a similar switch from a 10900K to the 9800X3D paired with my 3090, and the performance boost is fantastic, especially for CPU-intensive games like Battlefield. The 3080 can still handle 1440p pretty well, so focusing on a stronger CPU will help smooth out your gaming experience.

That makes sense! I play a lot of Battlefield too, and my 3080 often hits 100% usage. Seems like the CPU upgrade would be worthwhile.
