I'm using a GTX 1070 and have been running Fedora with KDE for about a month now. I really enjoy it more than Windows overall. I've installed the official NVIDIA drivers through the terminal, but I haven't actually played any games on Fedora yet. When running Windows games through Proton, you might notice about a 5 FPS drop compared to playing on Windows, but it really depends on how well the game is supported by Proton.
