I'm thinking about upgrading from Windows 10 to 11, but I'm worried it might mess up my local development environments. Has anyone made the switch recently? Can anyone share their experiences or reassure me about potential issues?

It's actually recommended to perform a fresh install instead of an upgrade. Just make sure you have all your projects backed up, right?
If you're using SQL Server, be careful! The update from 10 to 11 might break it, so definitely back up all your databases.
I attempted a fresh install but it said my hardware wasn’t good enough, so I went back to Windows 10. Honestly, I think Windows 11 isn't worth it anyway; I'm sticking with my gaming rig on 10.
You might want to consider getting a new SSD to do clean installs for both systems. If you're looking for an alternative, I've heard Linux Mint is a great starting distro!
Upgrading from Windows 10 to 11 shouldn't really cause any problems. Most users have had a smooth experience without issues.
I've tried it myself and have been stable for months now after the upgrade. I've done it for some business clients as well, and it seems to work fine. Just remember to always have a good backup!
