Hey everyone! I'm thinking about upgrading to the ASRock B650 Steel Legend for my Ryzen 5 9600X, which looks great for my setup. However, I've heard about some problems that the ASRock boards were having with the 9800X3D ruining them. I'm curious if that issue has been fixed with recent updates, or if I should just go with the MSI B650 Tomahawk instead. Thanks for your input!

I haven't seen any problems with 9800X3D CPUs that were running on BIOS 3.30 or later. Personally, I've been using ASRock boards for about two years now, including the 9800X3D on my B650E Taichi Lite since late 2022, and everything's been running smoothly.
Yes, ASRock has released BIOS updates that claim to fix the issues with the 9800X3D. So, if you go with the board, make sure to install the latest BIOS version to be safe.
