Hey everyone! I just moved my gaming PC upstairs into a newly remodeled room, and now I'm facing some unexpected issues. Just six hours ago, everything was running smoothly, but now I've encountered a few problems:
1. My screen keeps going black for a few seconds whenever I start a game or try to watch something on Crunchyroll.
2. One of my RAM stick's RGB lights don't turn on until I've logged into Windows after a full shutdown. I also received a memory error when trying to connect a secondary monitor, even though tests show there are no issues with the RAM.
There were no accidents during the move; the setup was meticulously handled, and it was unplugged for only about two hours. Here are my specs:
- Ryzen 9950x3D
- Asus ROG Astral RTX 5090 OC
- Corsair DDR5 48GB x2
- ROG Crosshair X870E Hero
To add to my concerns, whenever the screen goes black, it also removes my background. I'm relatively new to PC gaming and building, so I'd really appreciate any advice or tips you all might have!

About the RGB issue, was it functioning properly before the move? Sometimes the RGB on RAM sticks takes a moment to initialize, especially if it's from Corsair and relies on software like iCue to activate. You might want to check if that’s the case with yours too!
You might want to try a different power outlet just to rule that out. I've seen new PCs act up after moving them. A common culprit is the CPU cooler not being installed correctly after a move, which can affect contact with the socket pins. Opening up your case to check that might be worth it!
The power is connected to a UPS, so I didn’t think it was a supply issue, as I was using the same setup yesterday.
When your screen goes black, does it come back quickly? Is it more like a flicker?
It goes black for about 5 seconds and then comes back, but it only happens when I start a game or video. If I don’t switch what I'm watching on the browser, the screen stays fine.

Yes, I have two RAM sticks; one lights up immediately, but the other doesn’t. It even turns off while the PC is running, which is when I got that memory error on my secondary monitor. I recorded the black screen occurrence but I'm not sure how to upload the video.
