Having Issues with My Pre-built PC GPU – Need Advice!

Hey everyone,

I recently bought a pre-built PC with a TUF 9070 XT, and I've been experiencing some major overheating issues, with the GPU hitting temps around 110–120°C. It even blacked out a few times while I was gaming. After some advice from you all, I decided to send the whole rig back to the company, Alternate in Belgium, since I don't handle hardware myself. However, they've now claimed that my warranty is void because the seal on the GPU was tampered with, even though I never opened the case or messed with anything. Now they want to charge me for the repairs, and it feels like I'm being blamed for something I didn't do. I'm supposed to talk to their manager tomorrow. Has anyone faced a similar situation? Is it possible that ASUS sent them a used card? Any tips would be super helpful! This whole thing is really frustrating.

ASUS makes solid products, but their customer service can be a nightmare. If the company you bought from is quick to blame you, that’s a red flag. You deserve a working PC since you paid a good amount for it. I'd suggest being calm but firm during your conversation with them, emphasizing that you expect the equipment you paid for. Also, check if they have a decent return policy.

I agree! It’s all about what I paid for. I’m just hoping for a positive resolution tomorrow.
