Having Trouble with Wi-Fi on My PC After Getting a New Router

I recently bought a new router, specifically a Spectrum Wi-Fi 6E router, and while everything else in my home connects just fine, my PC is having some serious issues. The connection is incredibly slow and it struggles to load anything. I can't even play games without experiencing significant lag or getting completely disconnected. I picked up an adapter from Best Buy hoping it would help, but unfortunately, it's not working at all. Does anyone have any advice on what I should try next?

Can you share the make and model of your PC, especially the Wi-Fi adapter? That info might help diagnose the issue better.

Also, try positioning your router closer to your PC or using a wired connection if that's possible. It might help with the speed and connectivity problems you're experiencing.

I’d recommend checking to see if your Wi-Fi adapter drivers are up to date. Sometimes issues like this can stem from outdated drivers, especially after getting a new router.
