HDMI Connection Issues with My HP Victus 15

Hey everyone, I bought an HP Victus 15 back in June 2024 that has a Ryzen 5, 16 GB of RAM, and an RTX 3050. Since day one, I've been struggling with the HDMI port; it never displays anything when I connect it to an external monitor, although the laptop does seem to recognize that there's a second screen connected. Initially, I didn't think much of it because I was using a wireless display and had faced a similar issue with my HP Pavilion Gaming 15, which I fixed by updating the graphics driver.

Recently, I needed to use HDMI, so I updated both the processor's graphics driver and the Nvidia driver, but to no avail. I went through all the troubleshooting I could find—updating drivers, toggling graphics settings—but still, nothing worked. Now, the laptop doesn't even detect the second screen at all, which is a change from before.

I took it to some technicians who mentioned it might be a motherboard issue, suggesting it needs to be opened up for a closer look. However, I want to make sure it's not a software problem before going down that route. Has anyone experienced something similar? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Have you tried using the WIN+P shortcut? It’s a helpful way to switch display modes. When you press it, do you see an option for ‘Extend’ or ‘Duplicate’? It might just need a quick toggle to get things working!

Yeah, I did try that. It shows that it's on 'PC Screen Only,' and even when I switch to 'Screen Mirroring,' it doesn’t display anything. It just goes back to 'PC Screen Only' without any flicker or image.
