Help! $200 Apple Gift Card from Target says Code Invalid – What Can I Do?

I recently bought a $200 Apple gift card from Target, which I believed to be a reliable seller. Unfortunately, when I tried to redeem it, I got a message saying "Code Invalid." I went back to Target, but they couldn't assist me and suggested I contact Apple Support. I reached out to Apple months ago, submitting my card details, receipt, and other necessary information as requested. Despite that, my support request was denied without any clear explanation. I'm really frustrated and feel like I've lost $200 to a scam. Has anyone else faced a similar situation? Is there any hope for a solution, or is this just a lesson learned?

It sounds like this is more of a Target issue than an Apple one. They sold you the gift card, so they should be the ones responsible. It’s super frustrating when stores pass the buck like this!

Exactly! If Target sold you a bad card, they need to make it right. Don't back down.

This seems to be more about Target than Apple. If you used a credit card to purchase the gift card, you might want to consider disputing the charge with your credit card company. It's worth a shot.

I've been in a similar situation with Best Buy. They sold me a card that turned out invalid too. I had to really push to get them to send me a new one after Apple kept directing me back to them. If you escalate your case at Target, they may eventually replace it for you!

Good to know! I’ll definitely try to push harder at Target. Thanks for sharing your experience!
