Hey everyone! A few days ago, I updated my NVIDIA GPU drivers, and ever since then, I've got this strange issue where 6GB of my 8GB RAM is showing up as hardware reserved. I've tried a bunch of things to fix it, but nothing has worked so far. I even swapped out my RAM with a new stick, but it's still the same situation. Just to clarify, I don't have an integrated GPU and my PC is spotless—no dust or anything blocking airflow. I also made sure that the 'maximum memory' option is unchecked. Is there anyone out there who might have an idea of what's going on?

It sounds like you might be dealing with Shadowplay or something similar. Just because the RAM is marked as reserved doesn’t mean it’s being actively used; it just means the OS can allocate it for certain tasks if needed. Programs can still ask for it, but it’s off-limits for general use right now. Just a thought!
Yeah, I get that! But it’s still frustrating when you think you should have more RAM available. Have you checked if any background processes are taking up memory?
