I'm dealing with a strange billing problem on my Apple account. I accidentally activated a one-year subscription for CamScanner, but my GCash account had no balance, so Apple didn't charge me. I immediately canceled the subscription. Now, for the past eight days, my Apple ID is showing a 'Billing Problem' with a total of ₱1,990 owed, even though nothing was taken from my account. Because of this, I'm unable to download apps or remove my payment method. I've reported this to Apple support multiple times, but I've received no feedback. Has anyone experienced something similar? Will the failed charge clear on its own eventually, and how long did it take for you? Do I need to contact Apple to handle this manually?

It seems like to resolve this issue, you'll need to add a valid payment method first to clear whatever's owed before you can make any new purchases. It's a bit frustrating, I know!
Remember, if you don’t want to get charged for a subscription, you have to cancel it at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Since you haven’t been charged yet, you can just add a valid payment method, wait for the failed transaction to clear, and then you could request a refund using the process outlined in Apple’s support. Just keep in mind, if approved, you may not see the money back right away; it depends on your payment method.
Thanks for the info! Just to double-check, will I still be able to request a refund if it's within the subscription period?

So just to clarify, I have to take care of that despite canceling the subscription right after? I didn’t mean to buy that yearly plan.
