I recently sold my computer and need to clear everything off of it, but I'm having trouble accessing the settings. Every time I try, I get an error message saying there isn't an application installed to open the file. What can I do to resolve this issue?

I managed to power cycle my computer to access the hard reset screen, and I’m currently reinstalling Windows through that method. Keeping my fingers crossed it'll work out! 🤞
One option you could consider is using a USB drive to reinstall Windows. It's a bit of a hassle, but it might be the most straightforward solution if you can’t get into settings at all.
That's what I feared too... the problem is I don't have Windows on a USB stick.
Just a heads-up, the recovery option isn't always the best route. You might want to just do a full reinstall instead.
