Help! Can’t Delete a File Because It’s ‘Open’ in Another Program

I'm having trouble deleting a specific file related to easyamticheat. Every time I try, it tells me that the file is open in another program. I've checked the task manager, and there's nothing that seems to be using it. I even tried using tools like Locksmith and LockHunter, but they didn't show anything using the file either. I attempted to delete it using LockHunter's delete on restart feature, but that didn't work. I'm at my wit's end here and just want to get rid of this file!

Try booting your computer in safe mode. This often helps with stubborn files, as it only loads essential programs and services. If that doesn't work, consider creating a bootable Linux USB and boot from it. This could give you a fresh environment to delete the file since Linux can often bypass Windows file locks.

Have you double-checked task manager? Sometimes a process can be running under a different name. But if you're sure nothing is showing, safe mode or a Linux USB is the way to go.
