I just got a brand new computer running Windows 11 and I'm trying to download Windows 10. I plugged in a flash drive with the Windows 10 installation files, but every time I try to install it, I keep getting a "download failed" message. Can anyone help me figure out what's going wrong?

Another option is to download the ISO file directly, extract it to a folder, and then run the setup from there. That might work better for you!
Just to clarify, do you know the difference between downloading and installing? What exactly are you trying to do?
Are you sure you really want to roll back to an older OS? Also, do you have a Windows 10 license key? Windows has some built-in security that might prevent you from installing Windows 10 over Windows 11 without uninstalling it first. Just a caution that installing Win10 will erase everything on your computer if you do it that way!
I’m okay with using an older OS for now as I’m not a fan of Copilot. I thought I would get a license since I have Windows 11 already.
Have you tried using the Media Creation Tool to create a bootable USB drive? That's usually the way to go. Just a heads up, Windows 10 will only have a few more months of support, so keep that in mind!
I made the bootable USB and plugged it in. Should I try rebooting the computer with the USB stick in?
I’m definitely trying to install it. I moved the files from the USB to my documents and clicked setup, but it always fails during the installation.
