I just moved into a new apartment and I'm stuck with 'No Internet, Secured' on my home WiFi. I've tried a bunch of basic fixes like using the troubleshooter, toggling my network adapter, and running various ipconfig commands in the command prompt. I've even adjusted my antennas, but nothing's working! Strangely, my phone connects just fine. I'm looking for any advice on what else I can try, or if upgrading my WiFi card would be worth it. I can't access Ethernet and the router is in the basement where my landlord (who's a bit eccentric) lives.

To get a better idea of what’s happening, can you run ipconfig and check your IP address, subnet mask, gateway address, and DNS servers? Knowing the internal address of your router could help too, but since you don’t have Ethernet access, it might complicate things further.
Have you checked your network settings to see if a reset can help? Sometimes that’s a quick fix for connection issues, especially with all your troubleshooting so far!
Have you tried enabling the Hotspot on your phone? If your computer connects to that, it’s likely not a problem with your device but possibly maybe the location of your computer relative to the router. If you’re really far away, that could definitely affect the signal. If it doesn't connect, there might be a settings issue on your computer. But since you mentioned trying ipconfig, it's probably worth looking at your network settings again.
Yeah, hotspots can be tricky for laptops. What worked for me before was doing a network reset in settings. It only lasts about an hour before the connection drops again. Also, it sounds weird, but while the signal is strong when it works, the distance can still really mess with the connection. No range extender might be an issue too.
From your subnet info, it looks like you might be dealing with a Google Wi-Fi mesh network, which can get a bit complicated. If devices aren’t positioned well in your place, the signal can degrade quickly. Consider asking your landlord about the router placement or if it’s powered on where it is.

Got it! So my subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 and the default gateway is 192.168.87.1. The only fix I have tried is a network reset that lasts about an hour before it kicks me back to ‘no internet, secured’ again.
