I recently installed a new RTX 5070 Ti that my brother won in a raffle (don't ask how he got so lucky!). Unfortunately, after powering up, our PC just gets stuck in an endless reboot cycle. The fans spin for a few seconds, then everything powers off and starts again. The strange part is that if I reinstall the old GPU, the PC boots up perfectly without any issues. We're using a 750W Gold PSU, and all the cables seem properly connected, including the PCIe power cable. The RAM has been untouched, but I did notice that the BIOS is a bit outdated. Could this be a compatibility issue, or did we forget to perform some sort of setup ceremony for the new GPU? 😂

Are you using the included power adapter that came with the graphics card? It’s also important that all connectors are from PCIe 8-pin ports on the PSU. And hey, updating your motherboard's BIOS can often help solve these types of issues. By the way, what’s this Lingo thing you mentioned?
First things first, check your motherboard for compatibility issues with the RTX 5070 Ti. It's crucial to have separate power supply cables going to the GPU—make sure you’re not using a single cable that splits.
I verified my motherboard and it's an MSI B550 Tomahawk, so compatibility shouldn’t be a problem. I also made sure the power cables are hooked up directly from the PSU with no splitters. Still stuck in the reboot loop, which is really puzzling!
Your PSU should be fine since it handles up to 300W for the GPU. Since it doesn’t even get past the BIOS stage, I’d lean more towards a power supply issue, like it possibly not providing enough juice.

I used the adapter that came with the card and connected all the 8-pin cables directly from the PSU. The BIOS update is something I’m planning to do next; just wasn't certain it could cause a reboot loop this early on. As for Lingo, it’s just a random raffle site for cryptocurrency stuff my brother got lucky with.
