I recently updated my HP laptop with the latest Windows update, and it triggered BitLocker, locking me out. Unfortunately, I've lost access to my original email associated with the recovery key, so I'm trying to format the drive. I've followed the instructions from a few videos, but the drive doesn't show up in DiskPart when I list the disks.

You might be able to find your BitLocker recovery key in your Microsoft account. Check it out here: https://aka.ms/myrecoverykey, but if you lost access to your original email, that could be tricky.
Can you share what the output of DiskPart shows? Is the drive recognized in your BIOS adjustments? That info could help figure out what's going on.
Are you using a USB to format the drive? What video tutorial are you following? It sounds like you might need to reinstall Windows. Make sure you put the necessary drivers on the install USB using another computer. When you reach the "Where to install Windows" prompt, select "Load Driver" and find the drivers you need.
