I recently upgraded both my motherboard and CPU, and now I'm stuck at the login screen. The computer boots up, but when I try to enter my PIN, I get a message saying that it's unavailable due to security settings. I can click to change my PIN, but here's the kicker: I can't do that because my PC isn't connecting to the internet. I'm wired directly to a working router, but the internet icon shows no connection, and the airplane mode icon is grayed out. I've tried various fixes and even reinstalled Windows yesterday, but nothing has helped. Any advice would be really appreciated!

Have you tried resetting your network settings? You can do this from the Windows recovery options or through Safe Mode if you manage to connect. Resetting might help resolve any configuration issues that popped up after your upgrade.
It sounds like you've been through quite a hassle! Since your internet is acting up after the hardware upgrade, it might be a driver issue. Try booting into Safe Mode to see if you can get a connection that way. If you can connect, updating your network drivers might solve the problem. Also, check if your motherboard has any specific drivers that need to be installed for the network card.
Yeah, I agree! Sometimes, the drivers don’t automatically install with Windows, especially after a new motherboard. Don't forget to check the manufacturer's website for the latest drivers.

That's a great tip! Just remember to note your Wi-Fi passwords or any important configurations before you reset!
